Game Table for iPad →
Checkers, Chess, and cards games together in one app for $0.99. But what’s interesting is this:
Game Table is not a video game. There is no “logic” built into these games. Game Table simply provides brilliantly designed game tables and game pieces along with an extremely intuitive and fun way for you and your friends to interactive with them.
What I’ve not enjoyed about the Chess and Checkers apps I own on my iPhone is that there’s too much logic built into them at times–pieces are required to make specific moves as determined by the app. When I play Chess offline with my sons, sometimes I’ll demonstrate how one move would lead to two or three other moves. There’s no room for that with the iPhone apps I own. With Game Table, there is.
It’ll be interesting to see how a no-logic app mimics, either joyfully or frustratingly or both, real-world play.
