Working Dad’s Office on a Budget
published 11 May 2010
Cerentha Harris recently interviewed me for Herman Miller’s Lifework. The site has become a near-daily visit for me in recent months.
In my responses to Cerentha’s questions, I discuss my current workspace and share a few photos of what I refer to as “a working dad’s office on a budget.” As the sole provider for a family of 6, it’s important to keep costs under control. Hence, some of the items in my office include a refurbished 27” iMac, speakers and a glass desk that I’ve had since my first self-employment run, an IKEA Göran folding table painted black, and inexpensive framing on the walls. It’s certainly not the perfect workspace, but it does the trick.
