Dribbble, Martian Contest Winners
published 14 April 2010
The results (and selections from myself based on a purely ambiguous, subjective awesomeness rating) are in. Here are the eight nine winners.
Martian Poster Winners
The following individuals have won a signed copy of the Colosseo, Exclusive “Martian” Edition:
- Based on number of likes, Craig Henry’s ßark and Dave Mott’s Dribbble Ball are automatic winners. Even without the likes, however, they should have won—they’re both incredibly creative and obviously required a good amount of time to execute.
- Darren Geraghty’s This Is Not A Chair illustration was another shoe-in win.
- Paul Armstrong and his Very Angry Duck was an easy choice.
- Bonus! The contest announcement mentioned only 4 prospective winners, but I’m adding one more. Tim O’Connor’s Salve Glyph added a unique flair to the entries.
Dribbble Invite Winners
The following individuals have won an invitation to join Dribbble:
- It’d be difficult to turn down Michael Paoletti, whose cameronmoll_type shot was pretty impressive. Flattery aside, he posted some other nice shots, too.
- Caroline Hadilaksono was one of the first to really catch my eye with her Tiny Designers shot. It didn’t hurt that her portfolio is replete with good stuff, too.
- Brown Sugar Design’s top_right shot has some good elements to it. More importantly, I anticipate their letterpress work will be a nice addition to the talent on Dribbble.
- Gerardo Diaz’s sportmotives_iphone looks fantastic. I hope to see more in Dribbble.
Please get in touch with me to claim your prize.
Thank you again, everyone, for playing. There’s obviously plenty of incredible talent out there, and I only wish I could recognize it all. Of course, there’s still a chance to win one of two iPads by purchasing a copy of the Colosseo or by promoting the site. Both contests end this Friday at midnight.
